MULTI-MODE TRAVEL

Multi-mode travel simply means combining two or more ways of getting around. Travel modes such as active transport: i.e., walking, cycling, scootering; and mass transit: i.e., heavy rail, light rail, bus, taxi, ferry, water taxi, hire car, etc. Combining mass transit with active transport is a great way of extending the range of the public transport network and incorporating some physical activity in your daily commute or recreation.

Heavy Rail Access:
Opal Card - bicycle free at all times.
Note: a station access fee is payable on the T1, T2-3 stations on the Airport Line.

Ferry Access:
Bicycles carried free on Sydney ferries subject to advice from staff.

Light Rail Access:
All stations on the line are accessible. Bicycles carried free on light rail subject to advice from staff.

Bus Access:
Bicycles (including folders?) are no longer allowed on Sydney buses. Please check with your regional bus line regarding carrying bicycles as stowed luggage.
